Tuesday shop rides, I like to call them TCW Tuesday, are lots of fun. Lots of times, we ride the Green Belt trails. I like them because there are a lot more downhill and rocky/technical sections as compared to the south trails. This last Tuesday, we rode through the Travis Country trails, Stumpy J, Pumphouse to the Barton Creek Green Belt and looped back on Sweet16. I still don't know all the trail names and we did make a wrong turn that made the smaller loop on accident, but it was still lots of fun.
Texas Cycle Werks hosts weekly shop rides almost every Tuesday and Thursday leaving from the shop in south Austin. Rides vary in length and difficulty based on who all shows up and wants to do what. These rides start at 6pm, weather permitting. Of course in the Winter months, you will need proper lighting to participate. Part of the ride is on the road, so make sure you have white light to the front and red to the rear to be street legal. Otherwise, bring water, helmet, and other safety gear and such to keep you and your bike healthy.
